The move comes at a time of major growth for the company, which is looking at acquisitions and a future IPO.

A Tampa-based cybersecurity company has added two new executives to its lineup after raising $125 million in funds.

The company hired Mike Barker as its chief operating officer, who will work alongside CEO Benny Czarny. Barker has a long history of working at technology companies, including local institutions such as Syniverse and J2 Global and most recently Marketopia, where he served as COO.

OPSWAT also recently hired Eric Spindel, who will serve as the company's general counsel and corporate secretary. He has international and business experience with both public and private companies. He most recently served as general counsel and corporate secretary at Cyren (NASDAQ: CYRN) and was previously a partner at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg.

Both men will help with internal operations and legal compliance.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mike and Eric to the OPSWAT leadership team,” said Benny Czarny, founder and CEO of OPSWAT. “We’ve seen incredible momentum following the announcement of our capital infusion, and both executives bring proven operational excellence and strong experience, which will help us to continue to scale for the next stage of growth.”

The hires come as the company rockets through growth. The company recently received a $125 million investment solely from Connecticut-based investment firm Brighton Park Capital, which Czarny said will be used to acquire smaller companies. He also anticipates filing an IPO in less than 18 months.
